August: Align & Adjust

The month of August has been all about aligning with my "core" values & making adjustments where needed. I put quotes around "core" because I chose this word not only because this experience is about getting to the very core of my inner values, but I have been working on the core of my physical body as well.

Yoga with Adriene has been my trusty guide through this month. I started TRUE, a 30 day yoga journey with Adriene and have been amazed at how connected I feel to my physical body as well as to my own inner TRUTH. This process has helped me fine tune my own yoga practice in efforts to tune up my teaching skills as well. It has been such a win-win experience. I feel revived and energized, connected and clear & super stoked to kick off "Fall Fresh Start!" Commence "Set a Goal September!"

Ahhhh, "The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up!" This little gem has been following me around for the last few years. Although I have never fully followed through on the Kon-Marie Way, I have used it as a reference in many areas of my own tidying up process. I have asked myself time & time again, "Does it Spark Joy?" Many times the answer in No. This has helped me send lots of stuff on its way! Aside from the "joy" factor of items, I also have kept in mind some key concepts from the book..."think in category, not place" p.43 ..."choose what you want to keep, not want you want to get rid of." p.41..."discard first, store later" p.133..."don't scatter storage space" p.138 and so on...

DIY essentail oil rollers, yes please! This month I found out just how simple it is to make your own essential oil rollers to have with you on the go. As part of my "Fall Fresh Start" I made three rollers, Courageous(pictured above), Frayed Nerves, and Focus. Sometimes it takes a little "courage" to get started, sometimes we need to come to the aide of our "frayed nerves" and sometimes we just need a little help keeping our "focus."
