With the kids out for summer vacation, life has become quite the "juggling act!" The windows of free time that I had during the school year to get my tasking done, are currently closed. My "need to do" time gets overshadowed by the kids "want to do" activities. We are outside so much that the inside stuff gets put on hold and my on-the-go tasks are no longer solo(they include the kids, whom have some strong opinions). One thing that keeps me sane, is always having a standard bag with the basics ready to go. So, what's in my bag? Us Weekly is in my bag, of course. I, upon occasion get to sneak in a few minutes to catch up on pop-culture! Just the Essentials by Adina Gringore is helping me learn about essential oils. I always carry small roller bottles of essential oils that help aid whatever ails me. My "breath easy" blend is super calming. Herban Essentials lavender wipes are an on-the-go method of calming, are you noticing a trend, ha! Colore brush-on sunscreen in powder form. This stuff is so great since who wants to reapply sunscreen after their make-up is on! Refresh eye drops. Lip sense lipgloss b/c lip color that stays all day helps me to feel less disheveled by the end of the day! Color by Amber skinny bracelets b/c I like to wear them & share them, introducing this amazing brand to all is so fun! Snacks are a must, I like Clif bars and so do the kids! Headphones, I often can sneak in a podcast or two throughout the day! Some of my favorite podcasts these days are, Happier with Gretchen Rubin, Mindful Mama, Note to Self, From the Heart(conversations with Yoga Girl). Lots of light-hearted podcasts to keep me up-lifted(and calm) throughout the day! Obviously, there is an iPhone, keys, etc. But, this list is just some of the noteworthy items that get me through the day. Many of the small items get stashed in my clutch. I love this little clutch from Thirty-One. Super simple, but cute enough that it can be used day or night. If I don't need all of the books, magazines, planner, etc., I just grab this little guy & go b/c it's got just the basics! One of the best gifts I received recently was a graphic yoga tank. This one pictured above says all. Yep, yoga & coffee are what get me through this "June Juggling Act." I'm one who tends to be either hot or cold & never just right, so I always travel with a light-weight sweater. This one pictured above came in one of my Stitch Fix boxes. It has been my go-to sweater ever since!
Summer, although, quite the "juggling act," is refreshing. I love the leisure feel of it all. The school year is so schedule driven that it is nice to shift gears for the summer. I like to have a plan as to not miss out on all that summer has to offer, but I don't stress about it. My kids have a few planned activities, but other than that we wake up in the morning, see how we feel, check in with the weather outside & go from there! I hope you are soaking in all the sweetness that the summer season has to offer. Don't let the juggling act of it all get the best of you! Juggle & Enjoy!
