Mantra May. Mantra everyday. I have been collecting quotes for a long as I can remember. Once my email "quote" folder started to overflow, I decided to take them out of digital mode & put them into a more tangible format. I created the cards pictured above as a way to put these valuable life lesson more at the forefront of my thinking. Lately I have been picking one quote each Monday & using it as my mantra for the week. It has become a gentle reminder of the power of positive thinking. If you want to follow along with my Monday Mantras, be sure to follow me on Facebook, @feelingsfitness. During my morning meditation I have one mantra in particular that I recite & meditate on every single day! It actually ends up following me throughout my day & is certainly not limited to a single meditation session. I have a tiny copy of it in my prayer box that I carry with me. The above "prayer" calms me down & reality checks me all the time. Although it originated from a religious figure, it is by no means a way of promoting this particular faith. The message is so powerful & certainly crosses over all faith borders. In my "mantra" meditation zone in my house, I have a shrine of sorts. Within that shrine are several laughing buddha figures. This buddha encompasses happiness and abundance. It's so easy to get caught of in the problems of the world and media constantly makes us feel like we don't have enough. In this fast-paced world with so many conflicts arising and so many spaces trying to sell us on a product or even simply an idea of what our life "should" look like, it is important to remind ourselves of the happiness that is in the present, and the abundance that truly surrounds us.
